One of my friends updated her status on facebook this morning and I found myself a little confused at when her senate formal was. The misplaced modifier makes it sound like her formal is four years from now.
This sentence would make more sense if it said, "is headed to Iowa City today to find a place to live for four years, then is going to the senate formal."
